Mission Statement:
The mission of MIKIO SURAI Martial Arts International is to take one person at a time, adult or child, no matter where they come from, what they've been through, or what life has brought them, and give them an opportunity by providing the necessary tools, not just to survive, but to inspire them to strive to be a better person and the best individual they can be.
Vision Statement:
To embody all 36 laws, the philosophies, continue bridging the gap between new school and old school martial arts and make what you teach your own expression by mastering your Mi.
Bow In and Out Creed:
Martial Arts is more than fighting, it’s a lifestyle. The best fighters are the ones that don’t have to fight. I have respect for myself, my instructors, and fellow students. My heart, mind, and soul have grounded Sr. Or Ma’am.
The 7 Tenets of MIKIO SURAI:
I am my brother’s and sister’s keeper.
I am a scientist that understands martial arts is just math and science.
I will examine and embody the 7 elements of MIKIO SURAI Martial Arts International.
I know my 5 fist laws of a MIKIO SURAI warrior and the 5 fingers meanings.
I am a Master student of MIKIO SURAI Martial Arts International.
I will be a positive representative of MIKIO SURAI Martial Arts International whether I am inside or outside of the dojo.
I will follow all policies, procedures, bylaws, terms, and conditions set forth by MIKIO SURAI Martial Arts International.

Black Belt Symbol:
As a Color Belt, you are a young Tiger. Once you become a Brown Belt, you become an adult Tiger. Once you become a Black Belt you are now a Dragon, and with the Black Belt family, you can now embody the Dragon, Tiger & Wolf (Dra-Tai-Wu).
